After serious consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the HCAOA Annual Leadership Conference scheduled for September 26-27 in Orlando, FL.
Over the past few weeks, the HCAOA Board of Directors and Staff have closely monitored the ongoing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and, in particular, the extremely contagious Delta variant. With the numbers of cases and hospitalizations increasing each day, we made the difficult decision that there is too much of a risk to bring together our home care agency members from across the country, who then go back to their home states and interact closely with older adults and people with disabilities who are especially vulnerable to the virus.
This decision to cancel was not taken lightly, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility. The safety of all members and your clients must come first.
We know that so many of you count on the innovative and engaging content presented at our conference each year, and we know it is our job to provide it to you, no matter what.
