Eulodia Ortiz, a dedicated caregiver from Visiting Angels in Matawan, NJ, has been named the 2023 Caregiver of the Year! Eulodia's exceptional commitment to her clients and their families stood out among more than 500 nominees from across nearly all 50 states.
"During this challenging period when home care agencies, like so many other industries, grapple with a critical workforce shortage, it is truly inspiring to acknowledge individuals like Eulodia who remain steadfast in their commitment to providing quality and compassionate care within the homes of those in need. As a cancer survivor, Eulodia demonstrates exceptional dedication as she fulfills her caregiving responsibilities while caring for her husband, a Vietnam war hero and permanently disabled Veteran. Her commitment is remarkable and sets a great example for the next generation of caregivers who will follow in her footsteps," said HCAOA CEO Jason Lee.

Meet the Top 16 Finalists
The Home Care Association of America proudly presents the annual Caregiver of the Year Award, a national program that recognizes the top caregivers across the country who provide care and services at home, such as assistance with bathing, dressing, and medication reminders, to seniors and people with disabilities. Caregivers deserve this recognition for their compassion, commitment, and excellence! The top caregiver receives a $2,000 cash award and an all-expenses paid trip to the HCAOA national conference to be recognized in front of industry leaders.
