Member Code of ConductThe Home Care Association of America (HCAOA) Code of Conduct establishes a framework for best practices for its home care member organizations. The Code represents excellence in delivering high quality in-home services to clients of all ages and is promoted and supported by HCAOA’s ongoing educational programming and advocacy efforts. Its establishment reflects HCAOA’s guiding principles to serve clients in their homes, while supporting their and their families’ wishes to remain as independent as possible.
The Code of Conduct is not intended to be all inclusive, but rather provides a set of core values that are the basis for a standard of care, which is person-centered, provided by trained and qualified caregivers with deep respect and focus on individual’s well-being. The Code is dynamic and may be revised to reflect the most current developments in structuring and maintaining proper home care organization’s policies and procedures with proper and timely notification to HCAOA members.
