What kind of companies belong to HCAOA?
HCAOA is the national trade association for non-medical home care: agencies providing personal care, companionship, and homemaker services. If your agency employs caregivers who help clients with daily living activities, HCAOA is your association. We're proud to support the industry that helps seniors, veterans, and disabled people live independently in their homes.

What are the annual dues?
Agency membership is $888 per year for a single-location agency, plus $263 for each additional office or location. Corporate members with 30 or more locations are priced on a per-location basis — contact us at [email protected] for a quote. Associate (vendor) membership is $1,260 per year. State association membership is $750 per year.

Who gets access to membership benefits?
Any team members you designate can enjoy HCAOA membership benefits and participate in HCAOA member programming. Since membership is at the company level, agency and corporate members identify the employees on their "roster," and all those individuals access member resources, discounts, and the member portal. You control who has access.

What advocacy work does HCAOA do on my behalf? 
HCAOA actively engages on federal and state legislation and regulation affecting the home care industry. Our government relations staff and professional lobbyists are continually advocating for the industry on issues including program integrity, licensure, tax policy, and more. Representing 5,000 members across all 50 states, we truly are the unified voice of the home care industry. Members can participate directly through the Legislative Action Network and track activity through HCAOA's State & Federal Legislative and Regulatory Tracker. HCAOA also hosts an annual Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C.

What educational resources are available to members? 
Members have access to webinars, workshops, and discounted registration to the HCAOA National Home Care Conference — the industry's leading event drawing 500+ home care leaders annually. Members also receive preferred pricing on training through partners, as well as discounts on accreditation materials through ACHC, CHAP, and The Joint Commission.

What is the provider directory and how does it work? 
Each enrolled agency receives a listing in HCAOA's searchable online member database, which connects seniors and families looking for reputable home care agencies in their area. It functions as a free lead-generation and visibility tool included with membership. Listings are by location, so if you have 10 locations on your roster, you have 10 directory listings.
