To ensure that home health and hospice organizations meet compliance standards and comply with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) and Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP), HCAOA Associate member Corcoran Consulting Group (CCG) has partnered with Cliniqon who specializes in home health and hospice coding and quality assurance. Cliniqon will help identify documentation gaps, expand CCG client analytic and coding capacity, measure quality, quantify outcomes, plan care, determine reimbursements, and identify patient care improvements.

Sheila Davis, Senior Vice President of Area Operations at Always Best Care Senior Services, is a Hall of Honor inductee into McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards program. The Hall of Honor category honors women who have had a significant effect on their organization or industry. Davis currently serves on the HCAOA VA Services Advisory Council and was previously a Data and Research Committee member.

HCAOA member ​Family Resource Home Care announced the acquisition of Beneficial In-Home Care, Inc., one of Eastern Washington’s largest home care agencies with six locations in Spokane, Colville, Wenatchee, Moses Lake, Pullman, and Omak. Since 2019, Family Resource Home Care has grown from eight locations to over 35 across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Colorado.

The Best of Home Care Awards, presented annually by Activated Insights, recognize top-performing home care agencies based on caregiver performance, client satisfaction, and care experience. The 2025 awards include categories for Provider of Choice, Employer of Choice, Leader in Training, Leader in Experience, and Top 100 Leader in Experience, honoring the 100 agencies with the highest client and employee satisfaction scores in North America.

​Bayada Home Health Care is expanding its Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) service line. They recently opened a new center in Wall, NJ, dedicated to treating children diagnosed with autism, and will also provide care in home, school, and community settings. The center offers support to clients transitioning back home and provides family treatment guidance, helping caregivers respond to the needs of loved ones with autism.

​Jason Lee, HCAOA CEO, joined Jeff Wiberg, Founder of Family Resource Home Care, Clint Nobles, Founder & CEO of Home Care Ops, and Todd Austin, President & COO of Activated Insights, for the Home Care Ops CEO panel last week where they discussed how to set Resolutions That Stick. With Wiberg facilitating the dynamic discussion, Lee, Nobles, and Austin shared insights on setting annual plans and goals, developing metrics and assessing opportunities, and incentivizing strong performance. When Lee spoke about crisis management, he referenced his favorite hobby that he enjoys when the weather permits - riding his motorcycle! In the picture above, he is enjoying his hobby near Robbinsville, NC, on a road referred to as the Tail of the Dragon, which is famous for its 318 curves in 11 miles. Fortunately, his day job isn’t as dangerous!

​HCAOA member Right at Home has partnered with PocketRN to support dementia patients through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE) model. This collaboration offers Right at Home clients access to PocketRN's "virtual nurse for life" system, which provides continuous nurse-led education, coaching, monitoring, and support. It also allows Right at Home to offer respite care services, a feature of the GUIDE model.

HCAOA member Griswold has partnered with Patriot Angels to improve veterans' access to VA Aid & Attendance benefits, designating Griswold as a preferred home care provider for all related inquiries. This collaboration combines Patriot Angels’ expertise in VA benefits with Griswold’s home caregiving network to simplify the process for veterans seeking high-quality home care. The partnership aims to educate veterans on available benefits, as many are unaware of their eligibility. This marks Patriot Angels' first venture into home care, having previously focused on assisted living and senior housing.

HCAOA is excited to welcome Malana Miner to the HCAOA team as our Digital Communications Manager. In this new role, Miner will launch and manage the newest member benefit – HCAOA’s State Chapter Online Communities! She will actively moderate discussions, provide important member resources, and ensure members stay engaged and informed.

​The online communities provide a secure platform where members can connect, share insights on important industry and advocacy topics, and network with peers throughout the year.
