Member News: Daniel Murphy, Helper Bees' GM, Appointed to Serve on Federal Caregivers Council8/23/2023 Helper Bees’ general manager, Daniel Murphy, has been appointed to serve on the federal Family Caregiving Advisory Council. Murphy, an Army veteran who has over 25 years of leadership experience in the aging services industry, will serve on the Council from 2023 to 2026. In this role, he will recommend to the Administration for Community Living ways to improve support for family caregivers across the country. "My experiences in the military led me to the home healthcare industry when I transitioned to the private sector, where I continue to serve others," said Murphy. "I've spent the past decade in the aging services industry, helping families, insurance companies, and policymakers deliver better care for veterans and older Americans who deserve quality care. I look forward to working with other members of the Council, advising on solutions to improve caregiving."
Murphy has also held leadership roles at Maxim Healthcare, where he implemented in-home care programs for high-need populations in multiple states. Murphy assists aging veterans and their families through his concurrent work leading Oath Aging Care.
