Tell Members of Congress Your Home Care Story – Come to Washington, D.C. March 28-29

U.S. Representatives’ and Senators’ offices receive messages and calls constantly about issues people want them support or oppose. When their constituents make time to schedule and travel to the U.S. Capitol it makes an impact. Please join us for HCAOA’s National Home Care Advocacy Day on March 29.

Register before February 8 and HCAOA will schedule your meetings with your respective lawmakers.  We will also provide you with talking points for our legislative priorities and help you navigate your stay in Washington, D.C.
 
Some of the talking points HCAOA members will discuss during Advocacy Day include:

• Who we are—26,000+ agencies nationwide bringing personal care into people’s homes,
• Why home care plays a critical role in our country’s long-term services system (LTSS),
• The importance of building the care workforce—including addressing immigration,
• The need to ensure and finance care for American families and veterans.

 
Plan to arrive in D.C. on March 28, to attend a Welcome Reception at the offices of our new federal lobbying firm, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, and join us on Capitol Hill the following morning for our opening briefing session. You will hear from legislators and learn tips on effective advocacy.
