Today OSHA announced the Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission in the workplace. The ETS establishes binding requirements to protect employees of large employers (100 or more employees) from the risk of contracting COVID-19 in the workplace.
A fact sheet and other resources describing the rule are available online:
The Department of Labor (DOL) will hold a briefing this afternoon, Thursday, November 4, from 1:00-1:45 p.m. ET, with senior DOL, OSHA, and administration officials to provide an overview of the ETS, including guidance around implementation and answers to key questions. Attendees are encouraged to review the fact sheet and information from OSHA ahead of the briefing and submit questions using the RSVP link below.
