The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) has released several new rules and revised a few existing rules in Chapter 3701-60 of the Ohio Administrative Code to implement the state’s new licensure requirements. ODH has requested comments on these new rules be submitted no later than September 9, 2022. Comments may be emailed to ODHRules@odh.ohio.gov. Please include the words “Skilled and Nonmedical Home Health Services” in the subject line of your email. As a reminder, requirements for licensure include:
•Submission of a Skilled or Nonmedical Home Health Services application. •Submission of certification or accreditation documents where applicable. •Payment of $250 license fee. •Payment of a surety bond for providers who did not provide care prior to September 30, 2021. •Continued requirement to check state and national databases for direct care employees. •Continued requirement to obtain criminal records check for direct care employees. •Continued requirement to apply exclusion criteria for individuals convicted of specified crimes. Can I please get a copy of the most current licensure regulations for ICF homes emailed to me? I am in a new position and part of my responsibility is to ensure that our homes are in compliance with the current regs. If you cannot email them to me, could you please tell me where to find them in a printable format? Thank you!
