On July 26, the Ohio Department of Health held a virtual stakeholder meeting to discuss the proposed regulations for the licensure of Home Health Agencies and Non-Agency Providers, which will begin on October 1, 2022. The HCAOA Ohio Chapter had previously sent recommended regulations in March. On July 18, ODH distributed their draft proposed regulations for discussion during the stakeholder meeting. Aaron Stapleton, Chair of the HCAOA Ohio Chapter, provided a summary of the meeting and is leading HCAOA’s efforts to work with the ODH on these important regulations. Click here to read his summary.
During the meeting, ODH said the application for licensure will be made available in mid- to late-August and will be posted online. This application will need to be printed out and mailed to ODH. HCAOA will hold a virtual HCAOA Ohio Chapter Meeting on Tuesday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. to discuss the proposed regulations and review next steps. Click here to register.

With only 6 weeks left until we have to have our licenses in place, we really need access to the In Home Care Licensure for the state. We will also need to time to make sure all our carergivers are eligible under the new rules and train them accordingly. All that said and we have not applied or been approved with just 6 weeks left. Please advise.
