New Research Shows 35% Increase in Medicare Advantage Offering Supplemental Services, Like Home Care11/23/2022 Supplemental benefits, which include services like in-home care, in Medicare Advantage continue to expand for the 2023 coverage year, according to a new report from the Better Medicare Alliance and the actuarial consulting firm, Milliman. Overall, the number of Medicare Advantage plans to offer at least one of five recently expanded supplemental benefits jumped 35% (from 824 to 1,111) from 2022 to 2023. The largest increase was seen among in-home support services, now offered across 794 plans in 42 states.
Supplemental benefit offerings in Medicare Advantage were expanded in 2018 to include in-home support services, caregiver support, home-based palliative care, and therapeutic massage increased for the upcoming year. Click here to view the full report.

It helped when you mentioned that medicare supplemental plans have seen a large increase among in-home support services. My friend wants to get the most out of medicare. I should advise her to look for an insurer that can provide the best policy for her lifestyle.
