Effective October 1, the Ohio Department of Health will require all home health agencies or non-agency providers who provide non-medical health services to be licensed. As part of the application for a license, the Ohio Department of Health requires that all agencies submit a written criminal record check policy.
Researching and developing a policy can be burdensome for home care agencies. As a member benefit, HCAOA has drafted a template written criminal record check policy in Microsoft Word format for members to utilize. It can be modified to fit your organization and you can even place the name of your agency within the document itself. Download the document here. HCAOA strives to be a useful resource to our members by proactively providing assistance to save members time and expense.
