​Meet 2022 Caregiver of the Year Katrice Turner: A Caregiver from Your Agency Could Be Next!

​Katrice Turner of Absolute Companion Care in Monkton, MD, was recognized as the 2022 Caregiver of the Year at a special luncheon event during the HCAOA National Conference in September 2022 in Orlando, FL. She was selected as the top home caregiver in the country from more than 300 caregivers from nearly all 50 states. Is your caregiver next?

​HCAOA encourages ALL home care agencies to nominate at least one outstanding caregiver for the 2023 Caregiver of the Year Award so we can recognize and honor the top caregivers across the country who provide care and services at home. They deserve this honor for their compassion, commitment, and excellence!

ALL nominees will be recognized by HCAOA, and the top caregiver will be recognized during the HCAOA National Home Care Conference this October in Chicago, IL, and will receive a $1,000 cash award.
 
Katrice was selected as the 2022 Caregiver of the Year because, among her accomplishments, she took a post-stroke client with severe depression from not wanting to leave her home to getting beautifully dressed, fully made-up, and out into the community to enjoy social activities every week. She then created a care plan so that when this client's husband began showing signs of dementia (she was the first to notice and alerted the agency and the family immediately!) and needed full-time care, they were able to stay together and age gracefully.
