Mark Your Calendar! Annual Chapter Conferences for New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut Coming Up in June

​Members in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut are invited to their annual Chapter Conferences in June. 

New Jersey’s Chapter Conference is Thursday, June 1 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., at the Crown Plaza Edison Hotel in Edison, NJ. The agenda includes presentations on caregiver training and support from Alzheimer’s NJ, Medicare Advantage plans’ supplemental non-medical home care benefits from Braven Health, and the association's advocacy efforts and recommendations for the home care workforce crisis by HCAOA CEO Vicki Hoak. HCAOA NJ Lobbyist Dennis Marco will also provide a state legislative update. 
 
The New York Chapter Conference will take place on Tuesday, June 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at The Century House in Latham, NY. Bring your burning labor law questions to the conference to have them answered by labor law expert Emina Poricanin, Esq., from Poricanin Law. HCAOA VP of Government Relations Eric Reinarman will share the latest update on federal issues affecting home care and national priorities of the association. More details will be shared soon.
 
The Connecticut Chapter Conference will be held on Wednesday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel in Rocky Hill. The theme of this year's conference is Looking to the Future of Home Care While Meeting the Challenges of Today. Attendees will hear from industry experts and state officials about new laws, policies and trends concerning in-home personal care. This conference offers an ideal opportunity to remain informed and compliant, network with industry peers, and stay competitive in this growing and evolving sector of the economy. An informal reception will be held from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Common House Kitchen & Bar, located inside the hotel.
