This week HCAOA sent a letter to the offices of U.S. Representatives Fred Upton (R-MI) and Diana Degette (D-CO) in support of CURES 2.0 (H.R.6000). Section 201 of this bill would authorize $25 million per year for caregiver training under the Public Health Service Act. This funding would help alleviate the workforce shortage that persists in the home care industry.
HCAOA expressed to Congress that federal funding is necessary to support and sustain the caregiver workforce that so many of our nation’s seniors and individuals with disabilities rely on. Click here to view the letter.
