Right at Home CEO Margaret Haynes and BrightStar CEO/Founder Shelly Sun spoke on a CEO Panel that kicked off the annual Home Care 100 conference this week in Orlando, Florida. The panelists focused their comments on new growth strategies and emerging innovation in home care. Stressing workforce initiatives and strategies for innovative activities in their respective brands, the panel discussed ways to recognize staff and methods to grow new business lines. On the second day of the conference, HCAOA board member Andrea Cohen of HouseWorks, Peter Ross, CEO of Senior Helpers, and Vicki Hoak, HCAOA CEO, participated on a panel titled, “Family Caregiving – Big Need, Big Opportunity,” to discuss the importance of family caregivers.
The presentation highlighted the growing emphasis on family caregivers with recent reports, such as the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers and the increase in the number of Medicare Advantage Plans now offering family caregiver support as a supplemental service. “When professional home care providers partner with family caregivers, there are better outcomes and an overall better experience for all parties,” said Hoak.
