​HCAOA Discusses Home Care for Seniors Act with U.S. Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE) – More Sponsors Needed!

​Last week, HCAOA members met with staff for U.S. Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE), the prime sponsor of the Home Care for Seniors Act (H.R. 1795), to discuss efforts to increase co-sponsors. This bill would allow individuals to use funds in their Health Savings Accounts to pay for qualified home care services.  

“HCAOA is focused on ways to alleviate the financial burden of long-term care on families and government. H.R. 1795, the Home Care for Seniors Act, is just one way to support and motivate people to save for their long-term care needs,” said HCAOA CEO Vicki Hoak. “During the remaining months of this year, we’re asking all HCAOA members to contact their respective members of Congress and ask them to sign on to H.R. 1795 as a co-sponsor. We must increase the number of co-sponsors, because the more sponsors, the better chance for passage.”
