Several HCAOA Connecticut members have been appointed to serve on a task force to study issues concerning homemaker-companion agencies. The 12-member task force was established by Special Act 22-12. The Connecticut Senate Chairman of the Legislature’s Aging Committee initiated the study and the HCAOA Connecticut Chapter supported it.
The following members were chosen for the task force:
McGoldrick was also selected to serve as co-chairman of the task force. The study will cover, among other issues:
The task force, which is expected to get underway shortly, is required to submit its findings and recommendations to the Aging and General Law Committees by January 1, 2023. “I am honored to have been appointed to the task force and selected as co-chairman,” McGoldrick said. “I look forward to studying the issues that I hope will help policy makers and the public better understand and appreciate the value of home care.”
