HCAOA Board of Director Nominations Now Open

​​Nominations for the Home Care Association of America Board of Directors are now open. There are five open seats – two for independent agency members and three for corporate member representatives.
 
The Board is comprised of a combination of both corporate and independent home care industry leaders to best represent HCAOA’s membership. The Board guides and influences the national conversation about home care, industry standards, workforce shortage solutions, affordability and financing care.

​Applying for the HCAOA Board of Directors provides members:

• The ability to affect the future of home care and set the agenda for our industry,
• The opportunity to contribute to the decision-making process for public positions our industry may take on issues that affect your business,
• The prestige of serving on a national Board.

 
To ensure that HCAOA Board members have the experience and expertise to direct and guide the Association, the following minimum criteria will be in effect for all candidates:

1. Must be on a leadership team of a member agency
2. Must be a HCAOA member for at least three years
3. Must anticipate being available to actively serve during the entire three-year term
4. A minimum of three years of home- and community-based care (HCBC) experience preferred
5. A minimum of two years of involvement with HCAOA, including state chapters, national committee, education committee or task force

 
Nominations for the HCAOA Board of Directors will remain open until October 21, 2022, with two weeks of electronic voting following immediately.
