![]() Last week, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officially expanded the application of COVID-19 boosters to those who originally got the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine and said that anyone eligible for an extra dose can receive a booster shot from a brand different from their initial dose. Specifically, the FDA authorized a third Moderna shot for seniors 65+, and others 18-64 at high risk from COVID-19 because of health problems, jobs or living conditions — six months after the second shot. The FDA is recommending those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to get a second dose at least two months after the initial vaccination.
