Do Your Part: Meet with Your Federal Legislators During National Home Care Advocacy Day

​Change happens when people share their stories. HCAOA’s National Home Care Advocacy Day on March 29 is your opportunity to share stories about how your clients benefit from the home care services you provide with your federal legislators in Washington, D.C. 

Join HCAOA members from across the U.S. on March 28, at 6 p.m., at a Welcome Reception hosted at the offices of HCAOA’s new lobbyist team, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. The following morning, on March 29, an orientation session will be held to brief members on HCAOA priorities, including:

• Who we are—26,000+ agencies nationwide bringing personal care into people’s homes,
• Why home care plays a critical role in our country’s long-term services system (LTSS), and
• The need for immigration reform to address the workforce shortage.

 
HCAOA staff will do all the work to set up meetings for each member with their respective legislators. But we need members to come to Washington and advocate on behalf of our industry and the people we are serving.
