On March 2, the Georgia Chapter will hold a State Conference featuring DCH Commissioner Caylee Noggle, Rep. Larry Parrish, Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Health, and other state officials. The meeting will be held at the Georgia Building Authority, in Atlanta and will run from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with members, legislators, and regulators, and learn innovative ways to streamline business operations. A networking luncheon will also be provided.
Sponsorships for the HCAOA GA Chapter Conference are now available. Learn more here. Do not miss out on the biggest HCAOA event in Georgia in 2023. Register today! Georgia Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids® members are also urged by the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) and Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) to confirm their contact information as soon as possible before Medicaid redeterminations begin on April 1, 2023, following the passage of the federal omnibus spending bill in December. Federal law requires all states, including Georgia, to check who is still eligible to receive Medicaid coverage within 14 months. This will be the first time many of Georgia’s 2.7 million Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids® members will be required to go through redetermination, which was a routine process prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Georgia Medicaid members can update their information in one of three ways: 1. Online at DHS’ benefits website: gateway.ga.gov 2. In person at their local DFCS office, by appointment only: dfcs.georgia.gov/locations 3. By phone at 1-877-GA-DHS-GO or 711 for the hearing-impaired For more information, visit staycovered.ga.gov.
