August is National Immunization Awareness Month – Celebrate No-Cost Vaccines for Medicare Beneficiaries!
Celebrate National Immunization Awareness Month by sharing information about Medicare vaccine coverage. Thanks to a new prescription drug law that went into effect last year, as of January 1, 2023, the Medicare Part D drug plan now covers most vaccines at no cost. All adult vaccines recommended by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices are now covered with no out-of-pocket costs. The Medicare drug plan won't charge a copay or apply a deductible for vaccines received like shingles, whooping cough, tetanus, and more.
