Beginning January 1, 2023, Washington employers with 15 or more employees will be required to publish, on every job posting, the wage scale or salary range and a "general description of all of the benefits and other compensation to be offered to the hired applicant." They must also provide this information for internal transfers upon request. On June 30, the Washington Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) released a draft administrative policy and asked for feedback by August 12.
Covered employers are encouraged to prepare for the new law by identifying pay ranges for each position and establishing job-related criteria for determining compensation for current and new employees. L&I hosted the first virtual stakeholder feedback session on Monday and will release a second draft of the policy for review. An additional feedback session will be held on Monday, September 12 from 10:00 a.m. –12:00 p.m. https://lni-wa-gov.zoom.us/j/88318977689?pwd=x7VKLDGZYPiZP10Ipms5x8ZsACyaw2.1 Meeting ID: 883 1897 7689 Passcode: ES092022! L&I will be accepting feedback on the second draft of the proposed policy until COB Friday, September 16, 2022.
