​Action Plan: How to Ensure Your Caregivers Get the COVID-19 Vaccine

​On Monday, HCAOA convened its advocacy team of lobbyists to review each state’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan and how frontline home care workers are included. There are significant variations in plans from state to state, however there is one uniform takeaway: all states have identified home care workers as a priority to receive the vaccine, usually referred to as Phase 1A (1B) in state distribution plans. However, despite this priority many members are reporting that their states have not yet begun to vaccinate home care workers. There is confusion about what home care organizations should be doing right now to ensure that their workers receive the vaccine. HCAOA is hoping to help!
