The Biden Administration and Democrats in Congress have come close to an agreement on the Build Back Better Plan, which includes significant home care policies, including funding for Medicaid home and community-based services. But a policy to provide tax credits for working family caregivers was taken out of the plan in an effort to reduce the cost of the overall bill. The bill is not finalized yet, however, and HCAOA is advocating on behalf of family caregivers that the tax credit provision is inserted BACK into the Build Back Better plan.
