HCAOA urges all members to take action now by sending a message to your Senator regarding the Veterans’ Health Empowerment, Access, Leadership, and Transparency for our Heroes (HEALTH) Act (S.1315). Sponsored by U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS), U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), and Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA-1), this vital legislation aims to protect and expand veterans' access to care while safeguarding them to choose their own providers and require the VA to improve the quality of care veterans receive. This bill seeks to extend the timely filing period for home care providers billing the VA from 180 days to one year. While HCAOA fully supports this action, we urge lawmakers to amend the bill to address unpaid claims accumulated between June 1, 2019, and July 1, 2022, during the transition to the VA Community Care Network (VACCN).
Your support is crucial in ensuring that our voices are heard in Washington. Let your Senator know that you support these vital amendments to the HEALTH Act by completing the prefilled form here. Thank you for your advocacy and support.

Please consider S 1315. As a small provider of Veteran's, there was significant turmoil, especially during Covid that led to late filings and us having to write off tens of thousands of dollars. Your assistance in supporting this bill is greatly appreciated.
