The 2023 National Home Care Conference was a huge success, with record-breaking attendance and an exhibit hall that sold out not once but three times! This year’s conference boasted a nearly 40% increase in registrants compared to 2022, with the largest assembly of exhibitors in the home care industry, numbering over 100 and over 50 speakers addressing crucial industry topics; it was an event to remember. The Pre-Conference held on Sunday, the day before the conference officially began, was a big hit! The afternoon kicked off with Rachel Pearson, Founder & CEO of The Complete Agency & Engage, who discussed how to move the needle on home care through advocacy. Attendees commented that it was a great start to the conference, with a lot of great information shared. It was an informative day that ended with the beautiful VIP Taste of Chicago Reception.
The first day of the conference kicked off with a bang with rave reviews of Keynote Speaker Kindra Hall! So, what’s your unique story? Kindra unveiled a storytelling strategy that can elevate your marketing strategy to grow your business. The rest of the day brought deep dives into hot topics like leveraging AI and the latest legal developments impacting home care. The General Session led by Todd Austin, COO of Home Care Pulse, titled "Engagement with Representation and Retention - Why You Can't Have One Without the Other," was a great success. The final day, Dave Rendall's Closing Keynote was a captivating exploration of innovation, creativity, marketing, and strategy. Dave introduced an unconventional eight-part framework that challenges the conventional wisdom of fixing flaws and instead encourages embracing them. It champions the idea that true uniqueness can be discovered by flaunting weaknesses, allowing businesses to authentically connect with clients. The conference closed with the Annual Business Meeting, which brought a change in leadership as Jeff Wiberg stepped down as HCAOA President. Jason Lee, the CEO of HCAOA, acknowledged Jeff's exceptional leadership over the past year. The association eagerly anticipates Margaret Haynes, HCAOA's Vice President, stepping into the role of President. Of course, the conference would not be complete without the announcement of the Caregiver of the Year…Eulodia Ortiz of Visiting Angels in Matawan, NJ! It was a fantastic conference, with attendees praising the content and saying the HCAOA conference is THE home care conference they attend because the educational sessions and exhibitor interaction are the best in the industry.
