“Labor Day is a great opportunity for the home care industry to honor our frontline workers who bring care into the homes of thousands of older Americans and individuals with disabilities every day. Caregiving is a labor of love that should be respected and honored, especially on this holiday! We want to take this Labor Day holiday to extend a sincere THANK YOU to our direct care workers. We recognize how tough your jobs can be, especially over the last year and a half. It is truly a labor of the heart. Thank you, and we honor you during Labor Day and every day.” - HCAOA Executive Director, Vicki Hoak. In September 2020, the HCAOA Georgia Chapter surveyed the membership on several key issues related to COVID-19 and the impact on members. The results of this survey were instrumental in our success in lobbying for a Medicaid rate increase during the 2021 legislative session. The lobbying process is beginning again as we get ready for the 2022 legislative session, so we need our membership’s input on the state of the home care business in Georgia. Click here to submit your own ideas and questions to let the chapter know what issues you'd like DSS to discuss. |
