Lynn doesn't just clock in and out of her shifts. Being an in-home caregiver is part of the fabric of her life. She is passionate about serving and providing exceptional care for her clients so they can continue to live independently at home and enjoy the lifestyle they love. The Caldor Fire was one of California's most destructive fires in recorded history, but that didn't stop Lynn from getting to her client's home, which was right in the danger zone. Knowing that her client's family lived out of town, she was determined to get to her shift and take care of her 99-year-old client. And while learning to play chess is not typically part of a client's care plan, Lynn knew another client loved playing the game and teaching others. His daughter said she appreciated that Lynn was willing to learn to play chess because it gave her dad satisfaction to know that he has something to offer another person. She said, "he is a sharp 97-year-old, who sometimes gets depressed and thinks he is a burden, since he can't do some of the physical activities he used to. Lynn has helped him to see that life still has value and meaning."
