Bill Glover

Home Instead
Charleston, SC

Picture
Bill was going to become a priest. But, halfway into his seminary program, a moment catapulted his life in a new direction. "It was love at first sight," Bill said, reflecting on the moment he met his soon-to-be wife. After earning a master's degree in counseling, he worked as a child family therapist and a juvenile probational counselor. He traveled with his wife, an ER nurse, and they settled in Charleston to create a ministry serving the elderly. To help Bill prepare, he began working as a caregiver to gain experience. But his plans changed. His wife was diagnosed with cancer and six months later, she passed away. Despite this heartbreaking change of plans, and the unexpected shift in his dream to create a ministry for aging adults with his wife, Bill stayed with Home Instead and pours all of his love into his clients. In fact, when one of his client's passed, his wife asked Bill to be a pallbearer, saying, "Bill, you've carried him for the last four years. You should carry him one more time."
