Anice has a magnetic and approachable spirit that attracts people to her. The agency owner met her while she was working in a grocery store after losing her spouse and trying to keep busy. They connected when Anice said she has always served her church, family and friends and wanted to be a caregiver. In the middle of the pandemic a record-breaking snowfall paralyzed the region, and the agency placed aides in client homes to ensure continuity of care. Anice was the first to volunteer! She packed up her walking cane, clothes, food, and toiletries, and when she got to the community where the client lived, she was met with burst pipes in addition to the winter weather. She worked with many clients that week ensuring they were cared for and kept safe.
