Artis started caring for her client when she was just 8 years old, homebound, and living with her grandmother and great grandmother. She was unable to communicate, feed herself or even walk. Artis stepped in and used her experience, training, and her compassion to improve the client's quality of life. Over the years, Artis taught the client how to feed herself, communicate her needs, and even to enjoy taking a shower. She takes her outside on nice days in her stroller. Thanks to Artis’ reliability and consistency, this client has been able to stay in her home with her family and recently celebrated her 38th birthday!
