UPDATE: Georgia Billing System Not Yet Updated with New Rates

As of July 1, the Georgia Department of Community Health notified the HCAOA Georgia Chapter that the Medicaid billing system is NOT yet set up to accept the updated rates for the Independent Care Waiver Program (ICWP) and Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program (EDWP). However, the rate increases ARE effective as of July 1, so payment will be retroactive once the system is updated with the new rates.

Home care agencies should check the GAMMIS website for your specific provider number, as there will be a systemwide update for the new rates once the billing tables are updated.

The HCAOA Georgia Chapter will continue to work with DCH to keep members updated.

A reminder that the state received approval in June from CMS for ICWP and EDWP amendments with a July 1, 2024 effective date.

DCH and DXC Technology, along with other system entities such as EVV, Alliant Health Solutions, and Wellsky, are actively working to implement system changes related to state Medicaid rate increases. There are many system updates to be implemented with GAMMIS rate tables, Prior Authorization systems, and the EVV system in line to receive new data. We will inform providers as soon as these system updates are completed.
