The HCAOA Connecticut Chapter presented two awards to Chapter leaders Marlene Chickerella and Susan Oderwald during its annual chapter conference last week in Bristol. Chickerella, owner of B&M Homemaking in West Haven, was presented with the Mark T. McGoldrick Memorial Leadership Award for her “steadfast leadership as Chair of the HCAOA Connecticut Chapter and her tireless efforts in support of the home care industry in Connecticut.” Oderwald, owner of Always Best Care in Milford, received an award for her leadership of the Chapter’s transition plan advisory committee.
In addition to the awards presented during the networking luncheon, more than 60 attendees received a full day of education at the conference in various programs, including a federal update; education and compliance for home care agencies from Department of Consumer Protection officials; a panel discussion featuring leaders of the legislature’s Aging Committee; unemployment compensation, and new laws for HCAs. Thank you to program sponsors Corcoran Consulting Group, Senior Care Marketing Max, and Viventium. Click here to view additional photos from the event on HCAOA’s Facebook page.
