Connecticut Chapter Member Pansy Homecare Receives Distinguished Purple Flag Accreditation12/17/2025
HCAOA Connecticut Chapter member Pansy Homecare Service of West Hartford last Tuesday was awarded a Purple Flag Accreditation, the first non-medical home care agency to earn the prestigious designation. Christopher Carter, President of the Connecticut Assisted Living Association and CEO of Purple Flag, presented the accreditation at Pansy Homecare’s office in West Hartford. Jonah Francis, President of Pansy Homecare Service and vice chairman of HCAOA Connecticut, received the award on behalf of the agency. Fellow staff members and caregivers participated in the ceremony.
“I am very proud to receive this accreditation on behalf of Pansy Homecare Service,” said Jonah Francis. “My mother Pansy founded the agency, which is still family-owned and operated. She has instilled in me the desire to foster an environment of genuine care and compassion, and the Purple Flag designation recognizes our mission. We know the challenges faced by people living with dementia and memory challenges. Pansy’s trained professionals and caregivers provide quality support to people living with those challenges and they help give families peace of mind knowing their loved ones are safe and in good hands.” Purple Flag Excellence in Dementia Care is an accreditation that signals a commitment to the highest level of care, dignity, and safety for individuals living with dementia by ensuring caregivers are well-trained, compassionate, and committed to helping individuals age in place with dignity and peace of mind. Also at the event, area lawmakers presented Pansy Homecare with an Official Citation from the Connecticut General Assembly. Comments are closed.
