Arizona Action Alert: Urge Lawmakers to Support EPD Home Care Providers

HCAOA is working in collaboration with the Elderly and Physically Disabled Providers Alliance (EPDPA) to ensure the Arizona legislature prioritizes funding for HCBS-EPD Medicaid providers rate this session. The Arizona Legislature is currently discussing the state’s Fiscal Year 2026 Budget, and we need your help.
 

TAKE ACTION! Please take just one minute today to urge your lawmakers to support an investment of  $15 million in state funding for HCBS-EPD Medicaid provider rates this session which will enable providers to help lift DCW wages closer to where they need to be, and help providers recover some of the cost of providing care in an environment that is not appropriately funded to enable us to do so. It is critical that the Legislature hear from the HCBS-EPD industry in support of additional direct care workforce funding. In order to keep up with demand and ensure industry wages rise to levels sufficient to recruit and retain direct care workers, EPD providers are requesting consideration of a minimum of $15 million ongoing state general fund investment for HCBS-EPD for FY 2025-26.
