HCAOA Alabama Chair
Andy Luedecke, Synergy HomeCare - Atlanta
The first official meeting of HCAOA Alabama took place on June 27 in Montgomery at the Renaissance Hotel. About 25 home care providers met to discuss licensure in the state of Alabama for home care providers. The meeting was led by HCAOA Alabama Chapter Chair, Andy Luedecke of Synergy HomeCare – Atlanta, with assistance from HCAOA Alabama Chapter Vice-Chair, Stephaine Buffaloe from Home Instead – Appleton Senior Care. Nataly Schwartz, Manager of Chapter Services at HCAOA headquarters, was also in attendance and presented to the attendees information about HCAOA and the many legislative achievements of chapters around the country. The attendees had a lively discussion around the many forms of licensure and its impacts, both positive and negative, on home care providers, with an awareness that licensure will come to Alabama and the importance of having a unified voice representing the home care industry to help shape the legislation in a positive manner.
Check back to find out when the next meeting will be held.
