The 2017 HCAOA Annual Leadership Conference will take place in Austin, TX October 8-11. The Home Care Association of America is now a recognized continuing education provider for Certified Senior Advisors. Attendees of the HCAOA Annual Leadership Conference will receive two continuing education credits for their participation in the event.
The Society of Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA) educates and certifies professionals who work with seniors. The Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® credential applies to professionals who are able to demonstrate their competence and knowledge of working with older adults into their professional practices. By creating a network of qualified professionals, SCSA strives to create a strong and safe environment for seniors and those working with them. Accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the CSA credential applies to professionals in all areas of the aging industry.

HCAOA Faces of Caregiving Campaign
HCAOA’s Faces of Caregiving campaign is a storytelling project focused on elevating professional and family caregivers – their dedication, compassion and the extraordinary value they bring to the jobs they fill and families they serve. The campaign captures the important work caregivers do for seniors across the country through testimonials. HCAOA will highlight selected caregivers and their testimonials on the HCAOA website, and their stories will be featured as part of the 2017 Annual Leadership Conference in Austin, Texas.
Caregiver of the Year Award
Do you have a caregiver in your company who has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty? Have they exhibited compassion, empathy, and respect in the delivery of care to your clients and their families? Have they improved the quality of life, exemplified extraordinary commitment, acknowledged and met the needs of your clients and families? The HCAOA will announce the Caregiver of the Year Award during the Annual Leadership Conference with the theme, "Our Home Care Landscape: Big Challenges, Bigger Opportunities" in Austin, TX. The award will be presented during the Annual Business Meeting on Tuesday, October 10. The winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000 as well as $500 towards their travel to the conference.
